At present, sessions at NOUS are offered on a self-pay basis. In Germany, statutory health insurance generally covers psychological treatment only when it addresses a diagnosable mental disorder. Approaches focused on mental wellbeing, meaning, and personal orientation outside a pathological framework are not recognised for reimbursement. For this reason, insurance coverage is unfortunately not possible at this time.

At present, sessions are conducted primarily in English. While I also speak German (and Swedish), the nuance and precision required in existential counselling are essential to the work. We can refer to other languages when helpful, but for the time being English will remain the main language of our sessions.
-
Yes. We can work together via video calls, and online counselling is entirely possible. At the same time, the depth of connection and shared presence plays an important role in therapeutic work, and some of that is naturally diminished when meeting online. If you can attend in person, I encourage it; if not, we will make full and thoughtful use of the online format to ensure our dialogue remains meaningful and effective.

Sessions are usually 60 minutes. If that feels too intense, 45-minute sessions are also possible. As for frequency, once per week tends to offer the best continuity and depth, but this can be adapted. Depending on your needs and our availability, we can meet more often for a period, or spread sessions out more lightly. The rhythm of the work should support you, not overwhelm you.

The first 30-minute introductory meeting is free of charge. A standard 60-minute session is €85. We also offer different price plans for purchasing multiple sessions and occasionally run promotions. Please get in touch if you would like more details about available options.
